Autism Innovation Service - Like Minds Essex
Like Minds Essex is a platform of peer support groups in Essex for autistic adults without a learning disability, and adults who identify as neurodivergent.
Like Minds peer support groups are held each month. The support groups provide the opportunity for like-minded people to meet, share interests and become self-advocates.

Our peer support groups can be accessed face to face and virtually online.

We facilitate face to face peer support groups in Chelmsford, Braintree, South Ockendon, Billericay, Stansted and a group in Clacton on Sea for family carers.

SUMMIT also runs an ARTISM group for autistic adults without a learning disability opportunity to express themselves through art. This is currently facilitated in South Essex and Clacton on Sea.

This service is available for adults 18 years and over.

Autism Navigation Service

SUMMIT provide a bespoke Autism Navigation Service for adults without a Learning Disability that are in the process of seeking a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder across Essex and adults who have recently received an Autism diagnosis within the last 12 months. We can help you through the diagnostic process from the beginning and beyond.

We are independent and we work solely on the behalf of people that use our service, ensuring there is no conflict of interest with funders and other service providers.

We support you if you have been referred for an assessment of Autism, helping you to engage in the process and making sure your voice is heard.
Whilst you are waiting for a diagnosis, we can work in partnership with you to help resolve any problems you may be experiencing now in your day-to-day life.
We also support you if you've recently been diagnosed and are experiencing barriers accessing the services you need to lead a better life.
We also provide information advice and guidance to families.

Our Autism Navigation Service is only available for adults who are 18 years and over.
